I do not know the environment my items have lived in and there could have been exposure to sun, mold, dirt, smoke, humidity, pets, dust-ETC. I do try to quickly clean/dust off things, unless it interferes with patina, etc. If I detect any foul odors, I will mention it in description. My nose is not real sensitive but I do try to detect any odors.
